THE PRE-AMP PROCESSOR THAT EVERYBODY IS WAITING FOR!!!

The ToneWinner AT-300 replaced my Yamaha Aventage RX-A2080. Initially, I thought there wouldn’t be any difference with the sound that I’d be hearing from my speakers. I was flat-out wrong! As soon as I got the AT-300 hooked up to my external amps, without any EQ adjustment or room correction at all, every speaker in my home theater sounded so much fuller, esp the subwoofer whose rumbles became more dominant, and I LOVED IT!!! I played my favourite movies with superb Atmos tracks. Now, I’m hearing subtle sounds that before were actually non-existent when everything was hooked up to the Yamaha AVR. The sound separation for each channel now has become more distinct and defined. Overall, there is more “presence”. When I’m playing music, there’s more sound clarity and there’s more thump on the bass. This pre-pro is outright incredible! If I were to nitpick, I’d say the on-screen menu/settings is basic. There are no fancy icons or graphical interfaces, but it’s laid out very well and it does the job right. There’s a bit of a learning curve to it but you’ll get used to it eventually. There’s a feature in the menu/settings that I wish would be added in the future software upgrade. I always have been a 2.0-channel music listener, so I searched in the menu for a way to disable the subwoofer but I can’t find it. The only workaround to get a 2.0-channel music listening is to turn off or disconnect the subwoofer itself then disable the crossover setting for the L-R channel so that LFE signals would be directed to the main speakers. To be fair, I won’t discredit the overall performance of the AT-300 for a miniscule feature missing in its settings. This pre-amp processor is an outstanding performer and I hope its introduction to the audio scene will mark the advent of budget-friendly processors. Currently, prices from well-known brands go upwards $3,000 and this has always been a mystery for me because from these same brands, you can find high-end model AVRs processing the same audio tracks for the same number of channels with built-in amplification at a lesser price, which is totally ridiculous!
P.S. Shout out to Aamir Vahidy for his exemplary pre and post sale customer service. Dude, you really rock!
